Service Description

"The purpose of this text is to articulate certain essential points of Mahamudra teachings and its practice to those who may have done meditation, who may have had certain experience of meditation yet are unable to express themselves or to articulate what sort of meditative experience they might have had." Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX Tentative Schedule Friday 18th: check in at 2pm - retreat commences at 5pm Saturday 19th: 8am to 5pm Sunday 20th: 8am to 5pm Monday 21st: 8am to 11 noon - Check out by 12 pm Each day includes teachings, yoga, sitting meditation and ritual practice. The retreat provides participants with an opportunity to expand and deepen one's knowledge through study and practice. Retreat gives us an opportunity to be still and pay attention, also affords us the opportunity to be with ourselves in a more undistracted way. Whether one is a seasoned practitioner or fairly new to meditation, this retreat is for everyone who has a sense of curiosity. Contribution Three levels of retreat are available Accommodation (at Nyima Tashi), retreat teachings and all meals: NZD $625.00 (Unfortunately all rooms are now fully booked) Retreat (teachings) only from 8 - 5pm with meals : NZD $ 450.00 Retreat (teachings) only from 8 - 5pm with NO meals: NZD $275.00 The April Retreat will be led by Karma Nyima Gelek. Karma Nyima Gelek is a Buddhist monk in the Tibetan tradition, In 1998 Nyima la journeyed from Tibet to Melbourne to become the principal attendant to Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX. Nyima la's formative years were spent as a yong monk at Thrangu Monastry in eastern Tibet. We are very appreciative that Nyima la will be joining us for the April retreat, imparting his Knowledge of rituals and practice only adding to the richness of retreat. Nyima la continues his role as principal attendant to the nowTraleg Yangsi Rinpoche X.

Cancellation Policy

Regarding the cancellation of a course, we request that you cancel at least 24 hours before a scheduled session. You may cancel by phone or online here. If you have to cancel either one or all of your suggested courses, we offer you a credit to your account if you cancel before 24 hours. However, if you do not cancel prior to the 24 hours, you will lose the payment regarding your chosen course.
