Service Description

If our focus is always outwardly directed, then the samsaric mind develops an insatiable appetite towards distraction. One of the reasons why we practice meditation is because it reduces our outwardly directed focus and at the same time, we become more cognizant of our experiences and of ourselves. Why is there a need to practice Meditative concentration? It’s because as sentient beings we are conditioned by distraction, irrespective of their transient , momentary existence, irrespective of their non abiding nature. A mind that is always absorbed in perceptual displays and emotional elaborations is never given the chance to rest and mental clarity does not arise from this state of mind which robs us of our ability to find peace.
