Bodhichitta
A Bodhichitta Event
Available spots
Service Description
Join us for a day of practice that incorporates yoga, meditation, and discussion around the central theme of the day which is Bodhichitta, generally translated as “awakened mind\heart.” There will also be a video recorded teaching on relative and absolute Bodhichitta given by the 9th Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche. Understanding Bodhichitta is seen as the cornerstone of Buddhist practice, the root of all the things that we need in life. In Buddhism the virtues, qualities, and the moral principles and so forth are not laid down as something to be obeyed but to be cultivated. Why? Because they are useful for us, they help us to live our life more fully. Bodhichitta should not then be just thought of as some kind of metaphysical thing, but instead as some kind of moral compass that will guide you through life and the principle that we can actually live by. Only available in person*
